Mieczyslaw A. Klopotek, D.Eng.habil., received M.Sc.in 1983 and Ph.D. in computer science in 1984 from Dresden University of Technology, Germany.
Dr.Eng.habil. from Institute of Computer Science, Polish
Academy
of Sciences in 1998.
Currently Assistant Professor at the
Institute of Computer Science of Polish Academy of Sciences;
also Assistant Professor at the Institute of Mathematics of
Warsaw University of Technology, also
Extraordinary Professor at the University of Podlasie.
Member of the Editorial Board of the International Journal Machine Graphics and Vision.
Member of the New York Academy of Sciences.
Main research areas are:
artificial intelligence, especially expert systems, management of uncertainty,
machine learning, machine vision, intelligent information systems.
More than 120 scientific publications in national and international journals
and conference proceedings.
Cooperates with industry and medical centers in the area of
intelligent information systems.
Participated and participates in national
(4 KBN grants) and international (2 grants of European Union CRIT-2,
1 grant of German-Polish Cooperation Foundation SfdpZ)
research projects.

Kapl`an diecezji pin`skiej. W czasie niemieckiej okupacji proboszcz w Dryssie, znany szeroko z porywaja`cych homilii i serca dla biednych. Zostal` aresztowany przez gestapo (niemiecka` tajna` policje`) za posl`uge` duszpasterska` i po dwo`ch miesia`cach bez sa`du rozstrzelany 4 marca 1942 r. w Berezweczu k. Gl`e`bokiego (dzis` Bial`orus`), razem z dwojgiem bl`ogosl`awionych, ks. Wl`adysl`awem Mac`kowiakiem i ks. Stanisl`awem Pyrtkiem. Wszyscy trzej umierali ze sl`owami na ustach: "Niech z|yje Chrystus Kro`l". Przed egzekucja` w lis`cie do matki i rodzen`stwa napisal`: "Nie pl`aczcie po mnie, a cieszcie sie`, z|e wasz potomek i brat zdal` egzamin. Prosze` was tylko o modlitwy. Wszystkim moim wrogom przebaczam z cal`ego serca, chcial`bym im wszystkim wysl`uz|yc` niebo". |

Maltretowany za to, z|e przyznal` sie` do "winy" za Rosjanina, kto`ry zapalil` papierosa podczas pracy. Utopiony w nocy z 8 na 9 grudnia 1942 r., w s`wie`to Maryi Niepokalanej, kto`rej byl` wielkim czcicielem. |
